Ingredients

  • 1 lb minced beef or your choice of meat
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chopped bell peppers
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • 1 package spring roll wrappers
  • Oil for frying
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Instructions
    1. In a skillet, heat a bit of oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
    2. Add minced garlic, chopped bell peppers, and the minced meat. Cook until the meat is fully browned and no longer pink.
    3. Season the mixture with salt, black pepper, paprika, and oregano. Stir well and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
    4. Lay a spring roll wrapper on a clean surface. Place a few tablespoons of the meat mixture in the center of the wrapper.
    5. If using cheese, sprinkle some on top of the meat mixture for added flavor.
    6. Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling, then roll it tightly from the bottom to the top, sealing the edges with a dab of water.
    7. Repeat this process until all the filling is used. You can place the rolls on a tray lined with parchment paper as you go.
    8. In a frying pan, heat oil over medium heat. Carefully place the rolls in the hot oil and fry until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
    9. Once cooked, remove the rolls and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

    Chef’s Tips

    • Feel free to experiment with different spices and herbs to customize the flavor to your liking.
    • If you prefer a healthier option, you can bake the rolls at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes until crispy.
    • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as sweet chili or ranch, for an extra burst of flavor.
