1. Prepare your pan
Line an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) square dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it with butter. Set aside.
2. Cook the sugar and milk
In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and milk over medium heat. Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a boil.
Once boiling, continue cooking for about 2½ to 3 minutes, stirring frequently. (You want it to thicken slightly — but don’t overcook.)
3. Add peanut butter and vanilla
Remove the pan from heat. Immediately stir in the peanut butter and vanilla extract until fully melted and smooth.
4. Pour and set
Quickly pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
Let it cool at room temperature for 30–40 minutes, or until firm enough to cut.
5. Slice and enjoy
Cut into small squares and serve!
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days (or refrigerate for firmer texture).
💡 Tips
For a salted twist, sprinkle sea salt flakes on top before it sets.
Add mini chocolate chips or chopped nuts just before pouring for extra texture.
If you prefer a microwave version, I can give you a 2-minute shortcut that uses the same ingredients.
